A Seattle native, Alex’s background includes competitive and recreational exposure to the game of golf for 20 years. Alex attended the David Leadbetter Golf Academy at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. He then competed for two years for the Washington State Cougars as well as studied Professional Golf Management at the University of Colorado where he completed his class “A” certification. Alex is extremely passionate about all aspects of the game of golf and is eager to help promote the game through building relationships, teaching and competition. He enjoys teaching every level of golfer and believes in using the latest technology to help in your improvement. His swing philosophy is based using your “big muscles” is the goal. Striking the ball with your shoulders, hips and core, instead of arms, wrist and hands will lead to a more consistent swing and lower scores. Recently, Alex became TPI (Titleist Perfomance Institute) Certified to gain a better understanding of the biomechanics of the golf swing.
